David Joyes has extensive experience in financial management and directorship roles within the football industry. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Senior Manager A&A at Deloitte for ten years. In 2011, they joined Charlton Athletic Football Club as the Chief Financial Officer, where they served for over six years. In 2018, they moved to Middlesbrough FC, taking on the role of CFO for three years. Currently, they hold the position of Financial Director at Brentford Football Club, which they started in 2021.

David Joyes attended Loughborough University from 1996 to 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with honors in the fields of Sports Science and Mathematics.
