Brian Palmer is an experienced editorial director currently serving at the Brennan Center for Justice since October 2021, where responsibilities include strategic oversight of editorial content. Previously, Brian held roles as a senior editorial strategist at the same organization and as an environmental journalist at the Natural Resources Defense Council from August 2014 to October 2021. Prior experience includes a journalism position at Slate Magazine from August 2008 to August 2014 and an associate role at Sidley Austin from September 2004 to August 2008. Brian holds a J.D. from Yale Law School (2002-2004) and University of Chicago Law School (2001-2002), as well as a B.A. in English from Cornell University (1995-1999).
