Cathy Clark has extensive experience in educational roles, currently serving as Program Manager for Breakthrough Thrive Teacher Coaching Program since August 2022. Previously, Cathy has been Coaching Manager and Instructional Coach at Breakthrough Birmingham since June 2014, providing support to college teaching fellows in developing writing courses for middle school students. Cathy has held various positions with Birmingham City Schools, including Curriculum Coach and Teacher at Wilkerson Middle School from August 2018 to January 2022 and 8th Grade Reading/Language Arts Teacher from August 1999 to May 2018 at Huffman Middle School. Recognition includes being named Teacher of the Year by the Rotary Club of Birmingham in 2009. Cathy's educational background includes both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the University of Montevallo.
