LaNise Salley, Esq. serves as a Staff Attorney at Bread for the City since October 2020, bringing valuable experience from various legal roles. Previously, LaNise worked as a Student Attorney at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, participating in the Juvenile Special Education Law Clinic and the Housing and Consumer Law Clinic between January 2018 and December 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Summer Staff Counsel at Tzedek DC, where responsibilities involved drafting hardship declarations and conducting research on legal issues related to debt obligations. LaNise also interned at Quander and Rubain, PA, and worked as a Library Assistant at Salem College, where assistance was provided in research and client support. LaNise holds a law degree from UDC Law and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Criminal Studies, and Communications from Salem College.
