Nele Breitbart has a diverse and extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Nele currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Asset Management at BRE Hotels & Resorts, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Asset Management at the same company starting from October 2020.

Before joining BRE Hotels & Resorts, Nele worked at Hotel Asset Value Enhancement (hotelAVE) for several years. Nele held various roles at the company, including Senior Vice President of Asset Management, Hospitality, and Real Estate Consulting from February 2016 to October 2020. Nele also served as Vice President of Asset Management, Hospitality, and Real Estate Consulting from January 2011 to February 2016, and Director of Asset Management, Hospitality from July 2007 to January 2011.

Nele gained valuable experience working at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts as an Analyst, specializing in Hotel Feasibility Studies for the Full-Service Division. Nele was with the company from 2005 to 2007. Nele also briefly worked at Hyatt International EAME LLC as an Analyst for Hotel Feasibility Studies from August 2006 to October 2006.

Nele began their career as a Hotel Manager Apprentice at Relexa Hotel Bellevue Hamburg, where they received formal training at the Hotel Vocational School of Hamburg. Nele gained practical experience in all hotel departments and worked in the banquet and accounting department after completing their certificate from August 1999 to May 2002.

Nele Breitbart obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from Cornell University from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended the Hotel Vocational School Hamburg from 1999 to 2002, where they received a Hotel Manager Certificate/Hotelfachfrau in Hotel Administration/Management. In addition to their formal education, Nele obtained certifications including the Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM) from the American Hotel & Lodging Association in September 2019, and the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) in September 2018.
