Jason Portwood has extensive experience in the energy and water treatment sectors, with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Water Plant Operator at Brazos Electric Power Cooperative since October 2009, Jason is responsible for various operations within a Zero Liquid Discharge Water Plant, including chemistry management and system operations. Jason has held multiple positions at Brazos Electric Power since July 2007, including a role as Assistant Control Room Operator for a 620 MW combined cycle unit. Previous experience includes working as a Water Tender at Strom Engineering and serving as a Turbine Operator and Trainer at Rock-Tenn Co. Jason began their career in the US Navy as a Boiler Technician, operating steam boilers. Educational background includes completion at Glen Rose High School.
