Simon Cliffe is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. As the Founder and Director of Branch Road since January 2015, Simon emphasizes the significance of storytelling in creating relevance. Prior to this, Simon co-founded A House Called Alice and served as Head of Editorial and Broadcast Strategy at Waggener Edstrom. Earlier positions include Head of News, Content & Campaigns at Independent Media News, where Simon developed a strong editorial team, and Executive Director at the British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies, advocating for members within the digital transition. Simon also held roles at GCap Media/Global Radio as Group News Director, where leadership encompassed Europe's largest team of commercial journalists, and GWR Group as Regional Head of News. Simon's early career included freelance work as a Desk Editor at ITN/IRN. Educationally, Simon holds a BA (Hons) in Communication (Photography) from Salisbury College.
