Melanie Gagne's work experience began in 2003 as a Manager of Fraud Operations at RBC Royal Bank, where they worked until 2009. Melanie then joined Interac Association and Acxsys Corporation as a Manager of Fraud Programs from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, Gagne worked at Equifax Canada Co., first as a Lead Fraud Solutions Consultant and later as the Director of Fraud Strategy. In 2015, they transitioned to Equifax as the Director of International Fraud Business Development and eventually became the International Product Leader for Fraud and Identity from 2017 to 2019. Gagne then worked at KPMG Canada, starting as the Director of Advisory Services for Financial Crimes from 2019 to 2021. Melanie then became the Executive Director of Financial Crime Services until 2023. Currently, Gagne is the Founder and CEO of Brains Capital.
Melanie Gagne completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Languages from Concordia University, from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended Dawson College from 1999 to 2001, where they earned their Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Photography. Before their time at Dawson College, Melanie studied at Vanier College from 1995 to 1998, where they received their DEC in Communications.
