Rafael Namias

Senior Algorithm Researcher at Brainomix

Rafael Namias has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rafael currently works at BRAINOMIX as a Senior Algorithm Researcher, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Algorithm Researcher within the same company since February 2016.

Before joining BRAINOMIX, Rafael was a Becario Pos Doctoral at CONICET Rosario, starting in 2015.

From 2009 to 2015, they were a Phd Stewardship at CIFASIS, where they received a 4-year Ph.D. scholarship to research on BioImages. During this time, they worked on a project focused on automatically measuring the quality of a soya harvest by detecting illnesses on the beans provided an image of 100 samples.

Rafael also worked at Accenture Technology Solutions as a Software Developer from February 2008 to May 2009. Their responsibilities included programming in C-C++ and Pro*C languages under Unix and Oracle DB, as well as Bash scripting.

Prior to this, they worked at Namias & asoc. as an Analyst & Developer from August 2007 to January 2009, and at Openware as part of the Infostructure Support Services team from November 2007 to January 2008.

Rafael's work experience also includes a position as a Researcher at the Instituto de Fisica Rosario from 2006 to 2007.

Rafael Namias completed their education at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. From 2002 to 2007, they pursued a degree in Computer Science, earning a Lic degree. Later, from 2009 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including an edX Honor Code Certificate for Nutrition and Health Part 1: Macronutrients and Overnutrition from edX in August 2015. In September 2014, they obtained a certification in Statistical Analysis of fMRI Data from Coursera. In June 2014, they received an edX Certificate for Introduction to Biomedical Imaging. Previously, in February 2014, they obtained two certifications: one in Discrete Inference and Learning in Artificial Vision, and the other in Image and video processing: From Mars to Hollywood with a stop at the hospital, both from Coursera.
