Siwei Guo is an experienced Senior Autonomy Software Engineer at Brain Corp since May 2023, previously serving as a Software Engineer, SLAM at Embark Trucks and as an Autonomy Engineer II, SLAM at Brain Corp from 2018 to 2022. Siwei has a strong background in SLAM, having developed 2D and 3D methods for robotic applications and worked on Pose Graph Localization and autonomous driving algorithms. Prior experience includes a research role at Existential Robotics Laboratory focused on drones and machine learning, a research assistant position at UC San Diego analyzing human decision-making, and various internships including technology design at SMIC and engineering support at IBM. Siwei holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.
