Duong Huynh has been working in the field since 2004. In 2004, they were an Engineer at DHG. In 2005, they were an Engineer at Viettel Telecom, where their responsibilities included planning, conducting site surveys, designing, and optimizing optical transmission networks. In 2010, they began working at the University of Houston as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. Their Research Assistant role involved formulating research questions and hypotheses, conducting psychophysical experiments, and analyzing data using digital signal processing, stochastic processes, mathematical modeling, linear/non-linear regression approaches, Bayesian inference, and statistics. In 2017, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine. Since 2021, they have been a Data Scientist at BrainCheck.
Duong Huynh obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Technology between 1999 and 2004. Subsequently, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Neuro-Engineering from the University of Houston between 2012 and 2016.
