Tomer Fekete has been working in the field of data science since 2003. Tomer began their career as an Algorithmics and Data Analysis at the Grinvald Lab at the Weizmann Institute of Science. In 2009, they became a Postdoc at Stony Brook University, followed by an Adjunct Lecturer position at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2013. In 2014, they took on a Postdoctoral Fellow role at KU Leuven, where they worked on Neuroscaping, multi channel closed loop EEG brain stimulation, applying neural mass models to spontaneous cortical activity, and the effect of anesthesia on critical dynamics in cortex. In 2017, they became a Research Scientist at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, before taking on their current role as Director of Science and Lead Algorithm Engineer at brain.space in 2019, where they work on data science, EEG denoising and localization algorithms.
Tomer Fekete received their BA in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Haifa between 1998 and 2000. Tomer then went on to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem to pursue an MSc in Computational Neuroscience, which they obtained in 2003. Finally, they completed their PhD in Computational Neuroscience from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2008.
