J. Emilio Villarreal serves as the Director of Technical Services at Bragg Live Food Products, LLC since October 2019, overseeing R&D, QA, and Food Safety, while leading a team to meet compliance needs. Previously, Villarreal held the position of Research and Development Director at organicgirl from November 2015 to October 2019, where product development efforts resulted in the creation of the top Butter Lettuce product in the market. From July 2007 to October 2015, Villarreal worked at DOLE Fresh Vegetables as Senior Product Development Manager and Product Development Manager, launching over 200 fresh-cut salad products. An earlier role as Product Development Intern at Kellogg Company involved designing formulations for various products. Villarreal also gained research experience at Texas A&M University and managed production at Mars in the Hard Candy Division. Villarreal holds a Master of Science in Postharvest and Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Food Industry Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
