Terry Rohrer has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. From 2019 to the present, they have been serving as the CTO/CSO and SVP Marketing at Connected Energy (formerly BPL Global). Prior to that, they held multiple positions at BPL Global, including CTO, VP of Software Engineering, and Scrum Leader from 2012 to 2015. In 2005, Terry founded TLR Investments and acted as the Founder/Owner. Terry also served as the President of Innovent Consulting from 1998 onwards. Earlier in their career, Terry worked as a Lead Developer at BPL Global from 2009 to 2011. Terry held various roles at Sterling Commerce, including Vice President of Strategic Technical Services and Project Manager, from 1994 to 1998. Terry also worked as a Project Manager/Software Engineer at The Kobacker Company from 1990 to 1994 and as a Software Engineer/DBA at ABB from 1989 to 1990. Terry began their career as a Software Engineer at The Kobacker Company in 1986.

Terry Rohrer completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from DeVry University between 1983 and 1986. In terms of additional certifications, Terry obtained a certification in Computational Thinking for Problem Solving from Coursera in January 2021.
