Vetta Johnson has over 20 years of work experience in various human resources roles. Vetta most recently served as the Director of Human Resources at Boys & Girls Haven since February 2023. Prior to that, they were the Human Resources Director at Bluewater Diagnostic Laboratory from December 2021 to January 2023. Vetta also worked as the Human Resources Manager at Catholic Charities of Louisville from May 2018 to November 2021 and as the Human Resources Manager at The Salvation Army - Louisville Area Command from July 2016 to May 2018. Vetta has also held positions such as Director of Client Services at TKT & Associates, Inc., Administrative Coordinator at AMEC Earth and Environmental, INC., and Administrative Specialist at Commonwealth Bank and Trust. Vetta began their career as an Assistant Risk Manager at Brown & Williamson Tobacco in September 1995 and worked there until November 2004.

Vetta Johnson obtained their Master's Degree in Human Resource Leadership from Sullivan University during the period of 2013 to 2014.
