Mark J. Halperin is the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Boyle Investment Company. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Halperin helps direct company operations, including strategy and personnel. He also is responsible for the leasing and management of all office properties, both multi-tenant and single purpose. These properties include those owned by third parties and owner-occupants as well as those owned by Boyle. He has been a member of the firm’s Office Development Team since its inception.
With Boyle since 1973, Halperin currently oversees the leasing and management in excess of two million square feet of full-service office space in buildings ranging in size from 10,000 to 200,000 square feet. Halperin directs the marketing, negotiation and implementation of leases and is involved in the overall building operations, value engineering and functional analysis.
Halperin is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he studied accounting and real estate. He received the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and the SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Halperin is a member of Lambda Alpha Real Estate Fraternity, past president of the Memphis Building Owners and Managers Association, and past chairman of the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce Developers Council.
Halperin is active on a number of boards throughout the Memphis area. He was appointed by the city and county mayors to serve on the Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE) for Memphis and Shelby County. He is a founding board member of Triumph Bank and past president of the Board of the Memphis Jewish Home. He is past President of Temple Israel Memphis, is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Union of Reform Judaism, is a member of the Board of Trustees of Memphis University School, and is a former board member of the Jewish Foundation of Memphis.
No stranger to recognition, in 2008 Halperin was named Commercial Broker of the Year by the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) Commercial Council. He also received the 2008 Realtors Commercial Alliance National Award from the commercial division of the National Association of Realtors. In 2012, Halperin was named Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser at the Crystal Awards held by the Memphis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for his work on behalf of the Memphis Jewish Home.
