John Caldwell has extensive experience in legal and corporate roles, currently serving as the Head of Legal and Contracts at Bowleven plc since January 2012. Previously, John held the position of Head of Legal/General Counsel at SOCO International plc (now Pharos Energy plc) from October 2017 to August 2019 and was the Group Operations Manager at Bowleven prior to that, from July 2007 to December 2011. John's earlier career includes the role of Chief Corporate Counsel at Cairn India Limited from June 2005 to July 2007 and a Senior Associate position in Corporate at Shepherd and Wedderburn from September 1995 to April 2005. John holds an LLB Hons in Law from The University of Edinburgh, completed between 1990 and 1995, and attended Aberdeen Grammar School from 1984 to 1990.
