Omar Donnadieu Mercado has a long and varied work experience. Omar began their career in 2009 as a Cruise Director's Staff for Royal Caribbean International. In 2011, they moved to Norwegian Cruise Line as an Assistant Cruise Director. In 2018, they joined Flatiron School as a Technical Coach Fellow and a Technology Specialist for DigiDems. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer for R3 Continuum and as a Technical Coach - Part-time for Flatiron School. In 2021, they were a Software Engineer for TISTA Science and Technology Corporation and, currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer for Boundless Immigration.

Omar Donnadieu Mercado attended the Flatiron School from 2017 to 2018, where they studied Full Stack Web Development. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México between 2006 and 2007. In 2021, they also obtained two certifications from LinkedIn, namely "Scrum: The Basics" and "Agile Foundations".
