Jason Ferguson serves as the Chief of Department at Botetourt County Department of Fire & EMS since December 2018, bringing years of dedicated experience in fire and emergency services. Ferguson began working with Botetourt County in December 2001 and held the position of Flight Paramedic at Carilion Clinic Life-Guard from December 2015 to February 2021. Educationally, Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services from Jefferson College of Health Sciences and completed a Master's Certificate Program in Local Government Studies at Virginia Tech. Additionally, Ferguson participated in the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy, enhancing leadership capabilities in fire and emergency services.
