Yvonne Van Gessel serves as the VP and Head of Nonclinical Safety at Boston Pharmaceuticals since July 2021, bringing extensive expertise from prior roles at Eisai US, where the position ranged from Senior Director to Director of Nonclinical Drug Safety. Prior to that, Yvonne held the title of Chief of the Department of Veterinary Medicine at AFRIMS, US Army, overseeing animal research aimed at developing vaccines and drugs for tropical infectious diseases. Yvonne’s earlier experience includes positions as a Pathologist at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, a Veterinary Anatomic Pathology Resident at Cornell University, and Staff Veterinarian at The Anti-Cruelty Society. Yvonne earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University, completing studies there from 1991 to 1995.
