In addition to their education, Schaefer has obtained several certifications, including Internal Medicine certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Ernst J is also certified in Lipidology from the National Lipid Association and is a Fellow of the Council of Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology of the American Heart Association.
