Mark Smithers has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Mark started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Foster-Miller, Inc. from 1989 to 1992. Mark then worked as a Program Manager at MPM/Speedline from 1993 to 1995. In 1995, they joined Herbst LaZar Bell, Inc. as the Director of Mechanical Engineering until 1997. Currently, they serve as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Boston Engineering Corporation, where they provide business development and guidance for internal technology development. At Boston Engineering, they lead cross-functional development teams and ensures project success.
Mark Smithers has a strong education background in the field of engineering and entrepreneurship/innovation. Mark first attended Cape Cod Community College from 1983 to 1985, where they earned an Associate of Science in Engineering. Mark then pursued further education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from 1985 to 1988. Mark later obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University between 1990 and 1995. Mark'seducational journey concluded with a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship/Innovation from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they studied from 2021 to 2027.
