Alastair Miles has worked in a variety of roles in the past decade. In 2010, they were a Visitor Operations Team Member for English Heritage, where they increased sales in the main gift shop and facilitated logistics as a park ranger. In 2012, they were an Intern for Grameen Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., learning about the history, structure and lending policy of the bank, as well as facilitating microfinance solutions, interviewing clientele and obtaining data about loan repayments. In 2014, they were an Intern for Q5, where they planned, prepared and facilitated workshops, researched and analyzed prospective clients and wrote targeted proposals. From 2015-2017, they worked at Ve Interactive in various roles, including Senior Digital Consultant, Product Evangelist and Agency Sales Manager. Finally, from 2017-present, they have been Chief Product Officer and Head of Product Management at Borrow A Boat Ltd, the web's newest and most exciting peer-to-peer marketplace for boat rentals.

Alastair Miles attended the University of Leeds from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Alastair also attended Oundle School from 2004 to 2009, where they completed their high school studies in Mathematics. Additionally, they obtained a Product Management Certificate from the Product School in March of 2019.
