Vincent Redmond has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Vincent started their career as a trainee accountant at W Staunton & Co in 1984. Vincent then worked as a local government auditor at the Department of Environment from 1986 to 1988. Vincent later joined ABP Food Group as a financial accountant from 1988 to 1991.
In 1991, Vincent joined Bord na Mona and held various positions within the company. Vincent served as a financial controller from 1991 to 2003 before transitioning to the role of head of shared services. In this position, Vincent led the transformation of the IT department and established a HR and Payroll Shared Services Centre for the company. Vincent remained in this role until 2008.
Vincent then took on the role of business transformation manager, where they focused on feedstock asset management and the implementation of financial shared services. Vincent also managed the implementation of an interim IT solution for the retail division. From 2013 to 2014, Vincent served as a pension schemes trustee, ensuring compliance with trust deeds and regulations.
In 2015, Vincent became the feedstock transformation programme director, overseeing the design and implementation of a new operating model for the sustainable feedstock business at Bord na Mona. This involved resourcing the programme with internal and external experts and managing external resources through legal contracts.
Vincent also briefly served as the managing director of Bord na Mona White Moss Horticulture in 2017. Currently, they hold the position of head of new business and consumer products at Bord na Mona, a role they started in February 2020. Prior to this, Vincent served as the head of transition and communications from 2017 to 2020.
Vincent Redmond's education history includes various qualifications and certifications. In 1982 to 1988, they pursued Accountancy at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, earning a degree known as FCCA. In 1996, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from Dublin City University. Continuing their education, in 2006, they completed the Prince 2 Practitioner program in Project Management at the National School of Government UK. In 2011, they obtained a degree known as MSP Practitioner in Programme Management from the National School of Government UK. In 2012, they pursued a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards from the Chartered Accountants of Ireland. Additionally, Vincent Redmond has obtained certifications in Occupational Safety and Health, specifically in Hazard Communication and Slips, Trips, and Falls from LinkedIn in November 2021. These educational experiences and certifications highlight Vincent Redmond's commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise in various fields.
