Richard Curtin has extensive experience as a Senior Economist at Bord Iascaigh Mhara - Ireland's Seafood Development Agency since January 2014, and as the Director of Curtin Economic Consultancy Limited, also since January 2014. Richard holds a significant background in marine activities, particularly in fisheries, fleet analysis, and marine renewable energies, having previously worked as a Researcher at AZTI Tecnalia from October 2008 to October 2013. Richard conducted a research grant focused on Ecosystem Based Management and the Precautionary Principle in Fisheries, awarded by Centros Tecnologicos Iñaki Goenaga. Additionally, Richard has experience as a Researcher at Wexford County Council's Energy Department, where a comprehensive update of the county's energy balance was completed. Richard earned an MA in Economics and Environmental Modelling, as well as a BA in Economics and Social Studies, from the University of Galway.
