Paul Cummings has extensive work experience in various fields, including cybersecurity, information technology, and defense. Paul began their career in the US Navy in 2001, where they served in different roles, including Information Systems Manager, Information Systems Security Manager, and Computer Network Defense Manager. Paul went on to work as a Biometrics Consultant/Military Advisor to the Iraqi Army, leading to the capture of 361 insurgents. Paul also worked as a Foreign Military Advisor at MNSTC_I.

In recent years, Paul has been actively involved in cybersecurity-related activities. Paul worked as a Cybersecurity Research Engineer at Stephenson Technologies Corporation, where they co-authored a research paper through malware reverse engineering and conducted simulated environment enumeration and vulnerability discovery. Paul founded Whole Cyber Human Initiative, where they led research and development into workforce development and developed a free 100-hour immersive cybersecurity pipeline. Paul also co-founded Boots to Cyber, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business aimed at bridging the employment gap of transitioning service members, military veterans, military spouses, and military dependents. Paul currently works at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Lead Associate, Cyber Threat Analyst.

Aside from these roles, Paul worked as a Cybersecurity Volunteer at VETS2INDUSTRY, where they provided social engineering and phishing remediation, conducted virtual conferencing security checks, and conducted OWASP vulnerability tests for the Vets2Industry website. Additionally, they served as a Community Member in the ICS Cybersecurity Workforce Community of Practice at Idaho National Laboratory.

Paul Cummings has a diverse education history, with a focus on computer and information technology. Paul earned an Associate of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Purdue Global in 2022. Paul completed WYWM Academy's Cybersecurity Analyst program in 2021. Moreover, Paul participated in various courses on project management, system security, and network defense. Additionally, Paul obtained multiple certifications related to cybersecurity, leadership, and online communication. These certificates were obtained from institutions such as LinkedIn, Splunk, and CertiProf.
