Ollie Brown

Customer Operations Team Leader at Bookshop

Ollie Brown has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Ollie began by working as a School Manager and Head Instructor at KSM Kitesurfing School, where they honed their teaching skills and managed a flexible booking system. Ollie later founded their own kitesurfing school, Kite Eze Kitesurfing School, where they learned how to set up and run a small enterprise. Ollie also worked as an Events Manager at Purple Plum Catering, where they successfully organized events and emphasized the importance of customer lifetime value. At UKFS Group Ltd, they served as a Process Improvement Manager and was able to integrate Lean principles to create a more efficient process and optimize warehouse space. Ollie also worked as a Teacher and Director at ReDevelop Movement Ltd, where they developed their leadership and teaching abilities. At Evans Cycles, they excelled as a Sales Manager, consistently achieving high order book conversions and implementing efficiency-increasing processes. Ollie then transitioned to Naked Wines, where they served as a Customer Happiness Team Leader. Most recently, Ollie joined Bookshop.org as a Customer Experience Specialist and then progressed to Customer Operations Team Leader.

Ollie Brown began their education journey at City of Norwich School in 2001. Ollie completed their A Levels in 2007, with a focus on History (A), Sociology (B), and Psychology (C).

In terms of additional certifications, Ollie obtained the following qualifications:

1. Software Product Management Specialization from the University of Alberta in December 2019.

2. IKO Kitesurfing Instructor Level 2 from the International Kiteboarding Organization - IKO in August 2010.

3. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance in October 2019.

4. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in August 2019.

5. Google Ads Fundamentals, Search, Shopping, Mobile from Google Ads in June 2019.
