Adrian DeWitts is the Founder and Director of Bookbot, a tool designed to help struggling readers and non-native English speakers improve their reading skills. Adrian developed sophisticated software that follows along with the reader, highlighting mispronounced words and providing the correct pronunciation. Prior to Bookbot, Adrian worked as a Consultant, serving as a CTO, Solutions Architect, and Product Manager for various organizations such as Dementia Australia, Diaverum, NSW Department of Education, and Transurban. Adrian is experienced in using technologies like Flutter, Dart, and native iOS and Android platforms. Adrian also worked as a Project Director at Appiphany Pty Ltd, specializing in iOS and Android app development for medical, environmental, publishing, and location-based apps. Adrian oversaw the creation of reusable modules and trained producers and staff on project processes. Before that, they worked at Luminary as a Project Manager and Producer, where they gathered business requirements, managed accounts, and provided weekly status reports on project progress.
Adrian DeWitts earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts, with a focus on Media, Music, and Computer Science, from La Trobe University. This educational achievement occurred from 1991 to 1994. In addition to their degree, Adrian obtained certifications such as "Supporting children with difficulties in reading and writing" from Coursera Course Certificates in October 2016, and "Certified ScrumMaster" from Scrum Alliance in August 2011.
