Jerilyn Edginton has worked in the technology sector since 2004. Jerilyn began their career as a Technical Writer at Open Text Corp. in 2006. In 2004, they began working as a Technical Writer at Longview Solutions and held this role until 2010. During this time, they also held the roles of Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Documentation Manager. In 2016, they moved to Cetaris where they served as a Scrum Master. In 2017, they moved to CaseWare International Inc. and held the role of Agile Practice Manager/Agile Coach. In 2019, they moved to Transflo and held the role of Product Manager. Most recently, in 2022, they began working at CCi Global Technologies as the Director of Product Management and at Book4Time Inc. as the Product Owner.

Jerilyn Edginton's education history includes an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Guelph from 1998 to 2001, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Technical Communication from Seneca College from 2003 to 2004.
