Carolien Omidi is a Dutch teacher and mentor at Bonhoeffer College since August 2019 and serves as an Impact Coach at Shanti Minds since August 2022. Previously, Carolien taught Dutch at Staring College from August 2017 to July 2019 and has extensive experience in journalism as an Iran correspondent and columnist for Trouw from June 2000 to July 2017. As the owner of Orange Tulip Dutch language institute from November 2001 to April 2017, Carolien prepared students for Civic Integration Examinations and helped Dutch expat children with their studies. Additionally, Carolien worked in the Iranian motion pictures industry as an actress from November 2013 to 2017. Carolien has held various educational roles, including Head of the Dutch section at The British School in Tehran from August 2000 to August 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Dutch/Flemish Language and Literature from Utrecht University and a degree from the Dekhoda Institute for Persian Language Study.
