Matthew Collins has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Software Engineer at NISC from 2007 to 2012. During this time, they focused on supporting and enhancing proprietary software, eventually becoming the lead iOS developer for a new customer-facing software initiative.

In 2012, Matthew joined Bonfyre and took on various roles within the company. From 2017 to 2019, Matthew served as the Senior Technical Architect and DevOps Team Lead, continuing their responsibilities in infrastructure management while also leading the DevOps team.

In 2019, Matthew briefly took on the role of Data Strategy Lead at Bonfyre, where they and their team developed an ETL pipeline on AWS and provided reporting and data inquiries for other departments. Matthew also mentored a new manager and supported various other initiatives.

From 2019 to 2021, Matthew became the Director of Software Engineering at Bonfyre, representing the Product team to the organization and working with leadership to develop road map priorities. Matthew also reorganized the Product department into cross-functional teams and improved processes around planning and code delivery. Additionally, they redesigned hiring practices and developed performance review processes focused on growth and mentoring.

In 2021, Matthew was promoted to Vice President of Software Engineering at Bonfyre, where they worked with the CEO and leadership team to develop strategic initiatives and coordinated the Product team's planning and delivery efforts. Matthew also collaborated with partnerships and external stakeholders to develop go-to-market business plans.
