Adam Dicken has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2012 as an Air Conditioning Engineer Assistant for RCL Air Conditioning Limited, where they worked on a number of sites from Manchester to Bristol. In 2013, they returned to RCL Air Conditioning Limited as an Air Conditioning Engineer Assistant, working on site at the Alstom facilities in Stafford. In 2014, they were awarded the Scottish Funding Council Energy Skills Undergraduate Project Bursary and worked alongside the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association in a viability study. In 2015, they worked as a Sales Assistant for WHSmith. In 2016, they were promoted to Service Manager at RCL Air Conditioning Limited, where they were responsible for ensuring over 150 air conditioning systems were safe for operation and were functioning as intended. In 2017, they worked as a Chemical Engineer for Phase Change Material Products Ltd & Enviromental Process Systems Ltd, where they were responsible for financial management and budgeting for R&D projects. In 2019, they were appointed as Director for Foxglove Park Management Company Ltd., where they were responsible for ensuring the appropriate actions were taken during emergency and time-sensitive situations. Finally, in 2020, they were appointed as International Project Manager for LEITAT Technological Center, where they were responsible for coordinating projects with a combined value of 25.4 million euros with a focus on battery, industrial and additive manufacturing technologies.
Adam Dicken completed a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University from 2011 to 2016. In April 2020, they obtained a certification in Agile with Atlassian Jira from Coursera.
