Emile Silvis is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in leading technology teams and projects. Currently an Engineering Manager at bol since January 2024, Emile previously held similar roles at Backbase from January 2017 to December 2023, where contributions included managing a strategic organizational restructure and scaling a digital onboarding product team from 5 to 100 personnel. Emile's earlier career includes significant roles at Platform45, where over 10 Ruby on Rails projects were delivered, and as a founder of Glio Digital Innovations, which achieved profitability with a high customer retention rate. Educational qualifications include an MCom in Informatics and BCom degrees in Informatics from the University of Pretoria.
