Zhen Lei is a Senior Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim since June 2020, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Chemical Development Intern within the same company. Zhen has a significant academic background, including a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Stony Brook University, where research involved the development of mild photoredox conditions and the synthesis of aryl enones, culminating in a published work in ACIE. Additional publications include a review on Acyl Radical Chemistry and research on intermolecular ketyl radical-olefin coupling. Teaching experience spans various roles in organic and general chemistry at Binghamton University, including Head Teaching Assistant and instructor support. Zhen's educational foundation includes a Master's degree from Binghamton University and a Bachelor's degree from Sichuan University.
