Phophi Modiba CA(SA) is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in risk management and accounting. Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer and Head of the Accounting Department at BMW Group Financial Services South Africa since June 2014, Phophi has progressively advanced from the role of Accounting Manager within the same organization. Prior to this, Phophi worked at KPMG South Africa from January 2005 to June 2014, holding several positions including Senior Audit Manager and Audit Manager. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from GIBS Business School, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the same institution. Phophi also holds the Chartered Accountant designation from SAICA and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. Early education was completed at Mphaphuli High School.
