Katie Rooney currently serves as Head of Quality and Curriculum & DSL at BMS Progress since July 2019, where responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality assurance for the Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship Standard. Prior to this role, Katie was a Quality Manager at Progress to Excellence Ltd from November 2011 to July 2019, overseeing the quality assurance of apprenticeship programs in compliance with Ofsted regulations. Previous positions at Progress to Excellence Ltd included Functional Skills Principal Officer and Functional Skills Trainer, as well as an MIS Officer role managing data on learner outcomes. Katie also took a sabbatical to travel between September 2010 and September 2011, during which experience was gained working in the Australian government department Centrelink. Early career roles include Lead Tutor for Skills for Life at Progress to Excellence Ltd and Skills Trainer at Partnership for Learning. Education was completed at King David High School from 1995 to 2002.
