Tim Reid has a diverse and extensive work history in the music industry. Tim started their career as the Director of Marketing at Priority Records in 1995. Tim then went on to work as a Marketing Director and later as Vice President of Marketing at MCA Records, where they developed brands for artists such as The Roots, Common, Mos Def, and Shaggy. In 2004, they joined Interscope Geffen A&M as Vice President of Marketing, achieving a significant market share and branding iconic performers including Snoop Dogg, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Mos Def, and Common. Tim left Interscope Geffen A&M in 2009 to found their own business, Pro Franchise Group, LLC, where they provided strategic business development and consultancy services to artists and actors. In 2013, they joined INgrooves Music Group as Vice President of Product Management, overseeing innovative branding campaigns for independent labels and artists. Tim then worked as a Music Supervisor for television shows such as Verses & Flow and McDonald's 365Black Awards, where they booked musical performers and facilitated contracts. In 2014, they joined BMG - The New Music Company as Vice President of Marketing and later became the Senior Vice President of Repertoire & Marketing, Recorded Music. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership, creative problem-solving, and successful project management.
Tim Reid obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from UCLA, graduating between 1984 and 1989. Subsequently, they attended UCLA but did not pursue an additional degree or field of study.
