Paki Newell has a diverse work experience in the communications and publicity field. They served as the Vice President of Communications at BMG - The New Music Company from June 2019, and before that, held the role of Senior Director of Communications starting in January 2017. Prior to their time at BMG, Paki worked at CO5 Media, where they served as the VP of Publicity from August 2010 until December 2016. During this time, they worked on various film and music projects, representing notable figures and organizations in the industry. Before CO5 Media, Paki worked at The Lippin Group, starting in October 2000 as an SVP of Publicity. There, they worked on numerous publicity projects for artists, managed corporate communications for music publishing companies, and handled PR and event press for industry organizations and manufacturers.

Paki Newell holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications from Northern Kentucky University.
