Jan Dekker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in spatial planning and policy advisory roles within governmental organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at BMC since May 2017, Jan specializes in sustainability, location and area development, societal real estate, mobility, environmental law, spatial planning, and housing. Previous roles include Policy Advisor in Spatial Planning for various municipalities, where responsibilities encompassed managing spatial procedures, handling principle requests, and contributing to environmental vision and plan preparations. Jan's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning and Development from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, complemented by foundational education from Erasmus University Rotterdam and VWO at CS De Hoven.
