Rick Murphy has a diverse work experience in the real estate industry. Rick started their career as an intern at Brandywine Realty Trust in 2009, followed by an internship at Clark Turner Development the same year. In 2010, they joined LaSalle Investment Management as an Associate, where they later became a Senior Financial Analyst - Acquisitions. Since 2018, Rick has been working as a Vice President at Bluerock. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in underwriting potential deals, conducting market research, creating financial analysis, and developing industry contacts.

Rick Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Economics from Villanova University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Real Estate from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, where they attended from 2009 to 2010.
