Martin Florek has been working in the field of machine learning since 2021, when they began their roles as Lead Machine Learning Engineer for both MAKERS s. r. o. and Blueprint Power. Prior to this, they were a PhD. candidate and Engineer at the Slovak University of Technology from 2011. Martin also worked as an Algorithmic Developer and Algorithm Engineer at Tangent Works from 2016, and as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer at MERET, s.r.o. from 2014. Martin's first job was as a Webmaster and Junior Programmer for MrCode s.r.o. from 2012.

Martin Florek obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in 2011, majoring in Industrial Informatics. Martin then went on to earn a Master's degree (Ing.) in Robotics from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave in 2013. Martin is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics and Cybernetics at the Slovak University of Technology, FEI, Institute of Robotics and Cybernetics. Martin has also obtained various certifications, including a '23 from no. 508/2009 - Electrical Team Leader' from Inštitút bezpečnosti práce, s.r.o., J.Stanislava 1, 841 05 Bratislava in 2018, 'Introduction to Linear Algebra with MATLAB' from MathWorks in 2018, 'MATLAB Programming Techniques' from MathWorks in 2017, 'MATLAB for Data Processing and Visualization' from MathWorks in 2017, 'C++ Tutorial course' from SoloLearn in 2016, 'Robotic Vision (MOOC)' from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 2015, and 'Control of Mobile Robots' from Coursera in 2013.
