Sylvia Petrova began their work experience in 2008 as a Web Developer at eXstream Solutions. Sylvia was responsible for producing, modifying, and maintaining web solutions using various technologies. Sylvia also worked with programmers to implement server-side code for technical, interactive, and database-driven sites. Sylvia provided technical advice to other team members during their time at eXstream Solutions. In 2010, they joined Blueport Commerce as a Full-stack Software Developer and later transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer in August 2018.

Sylvia Petrova has a strong educational background in computer science. Sylvia began their education in 1996 at the Computer Science Education Center - Pravetz, where they studied computer science and graduated with a high school degree in 2001. Sylvia then went on to Technical University Plovdiv from 2002 to 2005, focusing on telecommunications engineering. Sylvia's education continued at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from 2009 to 2013.
