Brian Moffat

Sr. Director of Product Reliability at Blueport

Brian Moffat has an extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Brian started their career at Prime Computer, Inc as an Engineering Manager, where they worked until 1991. Brian then joined Hitachi Computer Products (America), Inc as the Manager of Quality Assurance, a role they held until 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they served as the Manager of Customer Support at the same company. Brian then moved to Hitachi Computer Products (America), Inc as the Director Quality Support Services for a brief period from 2001 to 2002. Following this, they worked at Concord Communications as a QA Manager from 2002 to 2004. Brian joined Computer Associates as a Principal QA Engineer in 2004 and stayed until 2005. Brian then had a short stint as a Principal SQA Engineer at Symantec Corporation in 2005. Brian was later promoted to the role of Manager of Software QA, which they held for a year. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as the SQA Manager at Egenera, Inc. Brian then joined Viridity Software, Inc as the Principal SQA Engineer/Team Lead from 2009 to 2011. After that, they worked at Brainshark as the QA Team Lead from 2011 to 2013. Currently, Brian is employed at Blueport Commerce, where they held the role of QA/DevOps Manager from 2013 to 2016, followed by Director QA/DevOps from 2016 to 2018, and is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Product Reliability since December 2018.

Brian Moffat attended Colgate University from 1974 to 1978, earning an A.B. degree in Computers and Information Systems.
