Derek Jackson is a consumer health advocate at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, serving since August 2022. Previous experience includes roles as an advertising specialist at Chattanooga Times Free Press from April 2021 to August 2022, and as a customer care advisor at Cigna for a brief period in late 2020. Derek also worked at Times Journal Newspaper, where responsibilities included art direction for the magazine DeKalb Living, advertising sales, and as an advertising assistant, from May 2017 to November 2020. Derek holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising from Liberty University, expected in May 2024, and an associate degree in Merchandising and Buying Operations from Northeast Alabama Community College. Derek completed a high school diploma at Fort Payne High School in 2015.
