Ilya Shestopalov, PhD, is an experienced leader in analytical development, currently serving as Vice President at bluebird bio since September 2014. Throughout tenure, Ilya has held various titles including Analytical Product Lead and Senior Director, and has been instrumental as the Cell Analytics group leader. Previous experience includes significant roles as Senior Scientist, where Ilya successfully led a team and developed a single cell PCR assay for lentiviral transduction efficiency, and as Postdoctoral Fellow at Children's Hospital Boston, overseeing stem cell projects in Prof. Leonard Zon's lab. Ilya's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Stanford University and a B.Sc. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Chicago.
