John Marco has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. John started their career as a Web Development Intern at RTD Embedded Technologies in 2005 and gained experience in developing web applications using ColdFusion and SQL Database server.
From 2006 to 2009, John worked at Target Logistics Management, LLC as an IT Manager and Web Developer. Here, they designed and maintained multiple websites, developed web application features, and managed the internal office network.
In 2009, they joined OTW Advertising as a Lead Web Developer and contributed to web development projects.
John then joined Retroficiency, which was later acquired by ENGIE Impact, in 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer. John played a key role in developing a web portal for utility companies to improve energy efficiency. During this time, they extensively collaborated with backend teams and iterated on the web application.
In 2017, John joined Ecova as a Senior Software Engineer. John continued to contribute to the development of software solutions.
Starting from 2019, John has been working at ENGIE Impact as a Senior Software Engineer. John has served as a technical lead on multiple teams, designed and implemented scalable web application platforms for energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects. John has followed best practices, standardized the code base, and maintained high unit test coverage. Additionally, they have architected a new customer-facing portal to replace an existing legacy application.
Currently, John Marco is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Bluebid Homes.
John Marco attended Penn State University from 2001 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
