Hans Aage Hjuler

Chief Scientific Officer at Blue World Technologies

Hans Aage Hjuler has held a variety of positions in the energy sector. Hans Aage began their career in 1994 as Managing Director/CEO and Chairman of the Board of Danish Power Systems. In 2013, they joined the International Energy Agency (IEA) as a Board Member of Annex 31. Hans Aage also became a Board Member of EMIRI - The Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative and a Board Member of the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) of the European Commission. In 2015, they joined the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV) as a Member. In 2020, they became a Board Member of DI Energi and Chairman of the Danish Center for Energy Storage (DaCES). In 2021, they were Chief Scientific Officer and Site Director of Blue World Technologies, and in 2022 they were UT Lab Manager at Copenhagen Atomics.

Hans Aage Hjuler's education history includes attending Rungsted Skole from 1963 to 1972, Rungsted Gymnasium from 1972 to 1975, and the Technical University of Denmark from 1976 to 1983, where they earned an MSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry. In 2004 and 2005, they attended the SIMI Scandinavian International Management Institute, where they earned a Medical Business Strategy degree.
