Brian Powell has worked in the software engineering industry for over 18 years. Brian began their career in 2003 as Manager of Software Development at Zones. In 2007, they moved to Imprev, Inc. where they served as Director of Software Development. In 2008, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Onskreen, Inc. and then joined The Active Network in 2009 as Senior Software Engineer, Development Manager - Camps, and Sr. Development Manager - Camps. In 2012, they began working at Amazon as a Software Development Manager. In 2013, they joined UnitedHealth Group as Software Development Manager - Interactive Design Solutions (iDS). In 2017, they became the Chief Technology Officer at 8 and Above, where they utilized machine learning and data science to bring efficiency to the talent selection process. In 2019, they were hired as Director of Engineering at Mitchell International, and in 2021 they became Director of Engineering at Latchel. Currently, they are the Vice President of Engineering at Blue Sky eLearn.

Brian Powell obtained a BA in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University in 1994, with a focus in MIS, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. Brian also holds a Certified ScrumMaster\u00ae (CSM\u00ae) certification from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in July 2022.
