Ranganathan Madhavan is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in healthcare management and clinical practice. Currently serving as Medical Director of Utilization Management at Blue Shield of California since April 2022, Ranganathan has previously held significant roles, including Facility Medical Director and Hospitalist at UC Davis Health from January 2012 to April 2022, and Physician Advisor at Adventist Health from January 2019 to April 2022. Ranganathan's earlier experience includes serving as a Hospitalist at Sound Physicians from September 2007 to December 2011. Ranganathan holds a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Southern California, expected in August 2024, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Public Health from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, along with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Kasturba Medical College.
