Joseph Doumit MD MBA FAPA is a seasoned psychiatrist and medical director with extensive experience in behavioral health. Currently serving as Sr. Medical Director, Behavioral Health at Blue Shield of California since February 2025, Joseph previously held the position of Medical Director, Behavioral Health at Centene Corporation from August 2016 to January 2025. Additional experience includes roles such as Senior Medical Officer at Landmark Health and Psychiatrist positions at TeamHealth, Virginia Mason Memorial, and Fairfax Hospital. Joseph's leadership was demonstrated as Director of the Department of Psychiatry at Chesapeake Health Care and Chief of Psychiatry at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Joseph holds an MBA in Healthcare from The George Washington University School of Business and an MD from the American University of Beirut, along with a BS in Biology from the same institution.
